Managing Your Notifications and Watchlist

In this guide, we will show you how to manage your auction notifications, subscriptions, and add search keywords directly to your watchlist. Customizing these settings ensures that you stay informed about auctions you're interested in, including when you're outbid or when auctions are closing.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Access Your Profile

First, log in to your account.
In the top of the page, click on the user icon (small person icon).
From the dropdown menu, select My Profile.

2. Navigate to Notifications

Once in your profile, click on the Notifications tab. This will take you to the section where you can manage your notification preferences.

3. Modify Notification Preferences

Under the Notifications section, you will find options to manage the types of email notifications you want to receive. These include:
My bid is outbid – get a notification when someone places a higher bid than yours.
Favorite auctions closing soon – be alerted when auctions you're interested in are about to close.
Auctions I've bid on have ended – receive updates when an auction you participated in has concluded.

Ensure the checkboxes next to the notifications you want to receive are selected.

4. Set Notification Delivery Method

Under the Send notifications to section, select the Email option to ensure you receive updates directly in your inbox.

5. Manage Subscriptions

Scroll down to the Subscriptions section to customize updates based on specific categories or keywords.
To edit, click the pencil icon next to Categories or Keywords and select what matches your interests.

6. Add Keywords to Watchlist

You can add search keywords to your watchlist directly while searching for items.
For example, when searching for "apple" (or any other keyword) in the auction search bar:
Click on the eye+ icon next to the keyword:
After entering your search term, you will see an eye+ icon next to the keyword. Click on this icon to add the keyword to your watchlist.
Add the keyword to your watchlist:
After clicking the eye icon, a pop-up will appear with the option to "Add to watchlist". Click this button to start receiving alerts for new auctions that match the keyword.
You can manage all watchlist entries by clicking on Manage all watchlist entries.

7. Choose How Often to Receive Alerts

In the Receive alerts section, you can choose how often you receive notifications:
Immediately – you will receive an alert as soon as there's a match for your selected categories or keywords.
Daily – every morning, you will receive a summary email containing all new auctions that match your preferences.

8. Save Changes

Once your preferences are set, they will be saved automatically.
